Set-Up Crew (before the event)
Help get the space ready for guests.
– Setting up chairs and tables
– Moving furniture and equipment
– Decorating
Door / Front-of-House (as guests arrive)
Welcome people into the space and take tickets
– Greeting guests at the main entrance
– Scan Tickets
– Take card or cash payments
– Answer basic questions about the event (bathrooms, coat check)
Take-Down Crew (after the event)
Help return the space to its regular set-up.
– Put chairs and tables away
– Move furniture and equipment
– Tidy up
Sound Tech Mentorship Program
The Open Studios works hand-in-hand with the Sound Tech Mentorship Program from the Victoria Arts Promotion and Preservation Society!
Our Experienced Sound Tech Mentors teach learners how to set up the stage for a live music performance. This includes:
– Setting up the Sound System
– Running mic’s and cables
– Connecting instruments to the mixer
– Mixing live sound and making recordings,
– Creating monitor mixes for the artists
A/V and Livestream Tech Team
